Brigham Young Versus Joseph Smith.
Revealing the Conspiracy Against Joseph.
By Brian Marshall
Have you ever wondered why the Restoration Movement started by Joseph Smith split?
The LDS Church in Utah, the RLDS in Missouri, the Church of Christ/Hedrikites also in Missouri as well as the other 265 smaller splits?
Well it all starts with a conspiracy prophesied by Isaiah the Prophet, which you will find confirmed by various Doctrine and Covenants sections and Bible, which confirm a rebellion broke out within the Restoration Movement.
If you turn you page in your King James Bible or Inspired Version Bible, you will find evidence of Biblical prophecy confirming such conspiracy will come to pass in Joseph Smith's life time. The trick is discerning who were the conspirators, but with a little time and study of Restoration Church History, examination of the Bible, Book of Mormon, throw in a judicious scoping out of the Doctrine and Covenants, we can locate who the conspirators of yesteryear were, and know who they are today.
Isaiah 29:14
14Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
But Men Conspire Against the Great and Marvelous Work
Isaiah 29:15-16
15Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?
16Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work ( Book of Mormon ) say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
This Post Is About A Secret Conspiracy Against Joseph Smith the Prophet and the effort to overturn the teachings of the Book of Mormon
so as to likened them "upside down".
Satan's servants were in the church as early as Febuary 9th 1831.
Section 42:22a RLDS D&C Authorized Version
Jesus warns not to "heed the witnesses of the enemy."
The enemy and his servants were in 1831 and are still today in the Church.
How Does The Enemy Enter Christ's Church?
Jude 3-4 Tells Us How.
3Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
We Must Note History Always Repeats Itself.
Paul in the King James Tells Us How.
13For such are false apostles, ( are ) deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
Paul Is Telling Us Satan and His Servants Are Pretenders! There Mouths Say One Thing, Their Actions Another.
We can spot the enemy if we know our scriptures. Because their mouths often accord with scripture, but their works/fruits contradict the scriptures as an end result.
Jesus Taught Us How To Judge Man's Honesty.
Matthew 7:20
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
The fruits of the enemy will contradict scriptural and doctoral teaching of Bible, Book of Mormon, and Doctrine and Covenants.
Brigham Young Versus Joseph Smith
The Controversy Begins
To this day, all of Joseph Smith's descendants declare he was NOT a polygamist.
Joseph's wife Emma contended strongly against this lie.
"No such thing as polygamy, or spiritual wifery, was taught, publically or privately, before my husbands death, that I have now, or ever had knowledge of"
( Emma Smith Feb 9, 1879, Church History Vol. 3, p.355. )Emma Smith and Eliza R. Snow Signed Affidavit Joseph Smith NOT A Polygamist.
(Eliza R. Snow once claimed to be one of Joseph Smith's Plural Wives.)
We the undersigned members of the ladies' relief society, and married females do certify and declare that we know of no system of marriage being practised in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints save the one contained in the Book of Doctrine and Covenants....

Joseph Smith's Grandson Defended Joseph Smith's Honor.
"Joseph Smith was the greatest victim of fraud and conspiracy of the last 500 years. Nothing like it in recorded history. He was simply lied about when something had to be done to justify ... Utah Mormon polygamy."
—President Israel A. Smith, grandson of Joseph the Martyr

How Does One Judge a Man?
Jesus said, " By their fruits ye shall know them "!
Since Joseph Smith is not able to stand before us in defense of himself, that we may judge him according to what he says, how he acts, and by the spirit which he carries, how then can we know what standard and moral values Joseph stood for? I have found very revealing and enlightening to examine Utah Church History, and compare with what Joseph Smith wrote from the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and the Inspired Version Bible. Let us judge the fruits of Joseph Smith, versus the fruits of Brigham Young.
Brigham Young Defended Joseph Smith's Honor!
Joseph Smith Was Not A Law Breaker?
" Joseph was not killed because he was deserving of it, or because he was a wicked man; but because he was a virtuous man. I know that to be so, as well as I know that the sun shines.
I know for myself that Joseph Smith was the subject of 48 law suites, the most of them I have witnessed with my own eyes; but not one action could ever be made to bear against him. NO LAW OR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT DID HE EVER VIOLATE. HE WAS INNOCENT AND VIRTUOUS. HE KEPT THE LAW OF HIS COUNTRY, AND HE LIVED ABOVE IT; out of 48 law suites, ( and I was with him in the most of them ) not one charge could be substantiated against him. HE WAS PURE, JUST, AND HOLY, AS TO THE KEEPING OF THE LAW"
( Brigham Young, July 11, 1852. Millinial Star, Vol. 14, p. 675. )
Yet Bigamy/Polygamy was Federal Crime in Joseph Smith's lifetime. If Joseph Smith Was a Polygamist, How Could Joseph Smith Not Have Broken the law?
Why Does Utah Today Teach Joseph Was A Polygamist?
Would You believe Brigham Young who :
. . . was the first person to publicly announce the document that is now known as “Section 132” of the Utah D.C. It says:
“Then they shall be gods, because they have no end;therefore they shall be from everlasting to everlasting”
Doctrine & Covenants 132:20 (Utah only)
Brigham Young Said Men Can Become God's?
Brigham Young's claim men can become God's was never taught by Joseph Smith. Nor did that teaching originate with Joseph Smith or even Brigham Young. It can be (suggested) the teaching and idea originates from the King James Bible. Joseph Smith stated: " we believe the Bible to be the word of God in as much as it has been translated correctly"! Here is why Joseph Smith made that statement. Compare the King James text to the Joseph Smith Translation/Inspired Version Bible. Copywrites held by the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He was NOT begotten by the Holy Ghost. And who is the Father? He is the first of the human family; and when he [Jesus]took a tabernacle [physical body], it was begotten by his Father in heaven, after the same manner as the tabernacles of Cain, Abel, and the rest of the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve . . .”

A revelation received on February 9, 1831, and published to this day in the Utah edition of the Doctrine and Covenants as well as our own, commands: "Thou shalt love thy wife with all thy heart, and shall cleave unto her and none else"
(RLDS Section 42:7; Utah Section 42:22).
Joseph Smith Gave Second 1831 Doctrine and Covenants Revelation Against Plural Marriage
The following month, March 1831, Another revelation contained this language: "Marriage is ordained of God unto man; wherefore it is lawful that he should have one wife, and they twain shall be one flesh, and all this that the earth might answer the end of its creation" (Doctrine and Covenants 49:3).
On August 18, 1835, a conference of the Church considered the form of marriage ceremony to be used in the Church and adopted the following covenant, which is used in every marriage ceremony in this Church to the present day: "You both mutually agree to be each others companion, husband and wife, observing the legal rights belonging to this condition; that is, keeping yourselves wholly for each other, and from all others, during your lives?"
(Doctrine and Covenants 111:2b).
The same section which includes this marriage covenant incorporates also this declaration of belief from the Church: "We declare that we believe that one man should have one wife; and one woman but one husband" (Doctrine and Covenants 111:4b. This section was removed from the Utah edition in 1876, and the "revelation" on polygamy substituted).
As translated by Joseph Smith, calls polygamy an abomination and states the rule that one man shall have one wife, "and concubines he shall have none"
(Jacob 2:36).
Joseph Smith's Teachings( fruits ) directly appose Utah Mormonism teachings. He even apposed Utah's claims about his being polygamist. Yet Protestant, Evangelical and LDS Christians today believe Utah Mormonism, not having read or tested the words written by Joseph Smith.
“Will you love your brothers or sisters likewise, when they have committed a
sin that cannot be atoned for [by Christ] without the shedding [sic] of their blood?
Will you love that man or woman enough to shed their blood?”
Brigham Young, Feb. 8, 1857
Journal of Discourses, Vol. 4, p. 219.
“Let me suppose a case. Suppose you found your brother in bed with your wife, and put a javelin through both of them, you would be justified, and they would atone for their sins, and be received into the kingdom of God. I would at once do so in such a case; and under such circumstances, I have no wife whom I love so well that I would not put a javelin through her heart.”
Brigham Young, March 16, 1856
Journal of Discourses, Vol. 3, p. 247.
Joseph Smith Contradicts Brigham Young Statement On Blood Atonement
46 And since man had fallen, he could not merit anything of himself;
But the sufferings and death of Christ atoneth for their sins through faith and repentance ect.,
47 And that He ( Christ ) breaketh the bands of death,
that the grave shall have no victory,
And that the sting of death shall be swallowed up in the hopes of glory;....
Yet today, few pay attention to what Joseph Smith actually wrote, taught or said in the Times and Seasons, his personal news paper. Instead most people listen to Utah LDS teaching, supposing the Utah LDS Church teach truthfully about Joseph Smith. Yet Joseph Smith's writings and words directly contradict Utah Mormonism in almost every way.
How can this be?
And the Lord said unto Moses, See I have made thee a prophet unto Pharaoh; and Aaron thy brother shall be thy spokesman.
Exodus 22:28 KJV Bible States:
28Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people.

1st Samuel 28:13 KJV Bible Declares
13And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth.
Joseph Smith Inspired Version
of 1st Samuel 28:13 contradicts the King James:
13And the king said unto her, Be not afraid; and the woman said unto Saul, I saw the words of Samuel acending out of the earth. And she said, I saw Samuel also.
God Has A Father?
Revelations 1:6 KJV Bible
6And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Joseph Smith Inspired Version Corrects
Revelations 1:6 declaring instead:
6And unto him ( Jesus Christ ) who loved us, be glory; who washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God, his ( Christ's ) father. To him be glory and dominion, forever and ever. Amen.
When " and " is taken from the King James Bible Rev 1:6, we no longer see the implication God our Heavenly Father has Himself a father. We do see where Salt Lake Utah came up with plurality of Gods, or the idea men because God is their father, themselves will become a God.
Joseph Smith corrected the idea men can become Gods. Joseph Smith also corrected the idea that there are other gods who existed besides God the Father.
Brigham Young knew this:
Pertaining Other Gods
Joseph Smith, 1830 in Book of Mormon Translated These Words:

Brigham Young Said:

Joseph, who was the editor of the Times and Seasons in 1842, published the Church's official law "On Marriage" in conjunction with the Relief Society's certificate to prove that polygamy was a crime and not a doctrine of the Church. Joseph published that,
Inasmuch as this church of Christ has been reproached with the crime of fornication, and polygamy: we declare that we believe, that one man should have one wife; and one woman, but one husband, except in case of death, when either is at liberty to marry again.... We have given the above rule of marriage as the only one practiced in this church.(Times and Seasons 3 [October 1, 1842]: 939; italics added)
